| I had to go on a couple of one week courses to Ystrrad Mynach this summer, a location on the Rhymney branch well known to those with an interest in class 37s.
The course hours meant I didn't see the morning up train, although it made a pleasant sound through the open windows of the office. The evening train was a different matter and I managed to see it on several days on each of the two weeks. Local large logo celebrity 37425 is the normal loco, being stabled at Rhymney each night, but it was away for an exam during the second visit so I had the added pleasure of EWS 37417 'Richard Trevithick' in the hot july sun. |
